Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data playquandle handles when you visit the site and interact with the embedded Fisherman game.
Who we are
playquandle is operated by Playquandle Labs, 56 Lakeshore Road, Floor 5, Oulu, Finland. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at support@playquandle.com.
What we store
playquandle is built to keep data collection to a minimum. If you choose to save a display name, it is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device only. Your cookie preference is stored the same way so the consent banner does not reappear on every visit. Neither of these items is transmitted to our servers.
Functional cookies and local storage
We use functional cookies and local storage only to remember your display name and your cookie preference on this device. These are strictly necessary for the account and preference features to work. They are not used to track you across other websites or to build advertising profiles.
The embedded game
Fisherman is loaded into the site from a third-party provider via an embedded frame. That provider may set its own cookies or use local storage in order to run the game. We do not control the provider's data practices; please refer to their own privacy policy for details of what they collect and how they use it.
Server logs
Like most web servers, ours records standard access logs including IP addresses, browser type and pages visited. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and technical troubleshooting, and are retained for a limited period before deletion.
Email correspondence
If you contact us at support@playquandle.com, we use your message and email address only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists or share your address with third parties.
Children
Fisherman is a skill-based browser game. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any user and do not request date-of-birth information to use this site.
Your choices
You can clear local storage and cookies from your browser settings at any time. Doing so removes any saved display name and cookie preference stored for this site. Your experience of the game itself is unaffected.
Third-party links
Pages on playquandle may contain links to external sites. This policy applies only to playquandle itself; we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site evolves. When we do, the revised version will be published on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you have seen the latest version.
Last updated
This policy was last updated in July 2026.
How we handle the little data we hold
Playquandle is built to need as little of your information as possible. If you never create an account you can play as a guest, and the only data your browser keeps is stored locally on your own device — small preferences such as whether you dismissed a cookie notice. Nothing about a guest session is sent to us or to anyone else. When you do choose to register, we ask for only a display name and an email address so that a name can appear on the preview board and so we can reach you if you contact support.
We do not sell, rent or trade any information, and we do not share it with advertisers. There are no third-party advertising trackers, no social-media pixels and no behavioural profiling on this site. If at any time you want your account and its details removed, write to support@playquandle.com and Playquandle Labs will delete them promptly. You are always in control of the small amount of data involved, and you can leave at any point without anything lingering behind.
